In all of the years Go International has been in operation this is perhaps the biggest step of faith that has been asked of us. In order for this base to launch and serve as a model for future bases around the world we are assembling a team of people who would commit to link arms with us and share in the vision by helping fund this initiative. If Go International has touched your life in any way, we ask that you would consider helping us touch the lives of others. You can immediately get involved in one of three ways; join the Operational Support Team, join the Launch Team, or become a Base Advocate. We ask that you take a moment to see which of these is the right fit for you. We appreciate your consideration in helping us launch the South American Missions Base.
People have asked, “What is the greatest need you have in launching the base?”. The short answer is, we need to complete the membership of the Operational Support Team. The Operational Support Team is comprised of 62 individuals/organizations that believe in this project and are willing to donate a set amount each month. The commitment term we are seeking is 16 months, which would sustain the operations of the base through September 2013. The donations that are received in the first four months leading up to the launch in September, would pool together in the Launch Fund.
We understand that people are able to give varying amounts, so there is a place on the team for everyone, with the majority of team members contributing just over $1 a day. The combined gifts made by the Operational Support Team will serve as the lifeblood of the Go International.tv South American Missions Base. The true value in this team is not measured in the dollar amounts given, but rather in the commitment level that is associated with those dollars. The fully exercised commitment of the team will allow Go to throw open our doors and be operational on day one. It will allow the ministry to focus on establishing relationships and begin meeting the needs of the community without having to spend diverted time raising funds from overseas.
Would you prayerfully consider being 1 of 62 people to join the Operational Support Team, and link arms with us to launch the Go International.tv South American Base? The chart above is a Team Chart that provides an overview of the team as it exists today. At the end of each business day the chart will be updated to reflect new members until the team is completed. A Base Advocate is pretty straightforward, it is one who advocates on behalf of the Go International South American Base. This can take on many forms and is intended to give a level of creative freedom for Advocates to express their support. You can be a Base Advocate and a member of either of our other two teams. In the months ahead we will be creating a special section on our site to provide resources/materials/updates for the Go Base Advocates.
Possible activities that a Base Advocate might participate in are:
- Hosting Fund Raiser
- Bundling donations of friends and relatives.
- Utilizing your social networks to spread the word of campaigns/initiatives
- Grant Writing
- Recruit for summer trips
- Church Representative
