Latest update

Merry Christmas to all of you! Christmas is my absolute favorite season and this year is no different. We have our tree all set up, gathering up the gifts and counting down the days to celebrate. We will be spending the holidays here in Ecuador again this year with friends and family which we are very much looking forward to.

It seems like 2018 just went by in a flash! It has been a very busy year in many ways full of ministry and family activity. Of course life is always full when you have a new baby! Isabella is such a joy to us and we have enjoyed learning how to be parents! We celebrated her 1st birthday last month and it was so fun to be able to celebrate her! Steve’s Mom and Dad were able to come down for a short trip during her birthday and it was so great to have them here.

The ministry part of life has been very fulfilling this year as well. ONE, our Tuesday night church plant, celebrated 3 years in March and in September we moved to a new location, almost doubling our meeting capacity. Now, 3 months later we almost at capacity again. We are really seeing God touch lives through the ministry of ONE each and every week. Steve also helped to host Several large missions teams again this summer from several locations across the United States.

Debbie and I have also been given a greater opportunity to serve at the church where Debbie’s dad pastors, here in Quito, taking an active role in personally mentoring some of the ministry leaders at the church and helping to lead worship. We are really seeing God use that to help make healthy leaders for the church and grow their ministry. We are planning on expanding our role next year, teaching weekly discipleship classes to help the church continue to create a culture of healthy leaders and believers in general. We are still working out the details but we will give more information on our plans in the coming months.

We are incredibly grateful for all of you and your continued support. We really see God’s guidance as we continue to serve here in Ecuador. We know we are called here and it’s amazing to see God continue to open doors to use our gifts and abilities to serve Him and make Him known. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Steve moved to Ecuador in January 2015 to work with his close friends at Go International where they have pioneered a international internship program for young adults, planted a thriving local church and regularly host foreign missions teams. He has really fallen in love with the people and also thoroughly enjoys the incredible mountains and scenery Ecuador is known for.

Debbie was born and raised in Quito in a pastor's home. She has grown up in the church and has a heart to train up and lead a new generation of ministry leaders in South America. She has a heart for worship and to see personal healing take place in people's lives. Debbie also serves in the local church her dad pastors and in a variety of other ministries activities.

Now, as a married couple, they are continuing their ongoing and new ministry efforts, in Ecuador, as full-time missionaries along with their daughter Isabella!
