We are all familiar with the scripture in John 3:16- “For God so Loved the World that he gave his only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Whosoever believes in him...
It is easy to say that God loves everyone. It’s harder to walk that truth out. As Christians it’s easy to pass judgement others. In Romans 5:8 we read,” But God demonstrated His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
All of us have sinned and yet many times we think that we are somehow better than others, somehow more worthy of God’s love than others. And yet, we read in scripture that God is willing that none should perish.
Just because we show someone God’s love, that does not mean that we condone their sins or their lifestyle. If Christians don’t show people God’s love then WHO will?
No one can separate us from the love of God. Romans 8:34-35 NKJ says “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?”
God’s love is for everyone but unfortunately it is often Christians who separate people from receiving that love.
The Love Rally was created by Go International for it’s interns during their annual Go Weekend “Love” Challenge. The Love Rally is a peaceful demonstration that shares with passersby the depth of God’s love. Most times when people protest or hold a demonstration it is because they are wanting to “come against” something, the Love Rally is a peaceful demonstration which conveys a message of love and unity to those who see it.
